Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

This statement describes the actions taken by Wing Assistant and its subsidiaries (“Wing,” “we” or “our”) to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and our supply chains pursuant to the UK Modern Slavery Act of 2015, the Australian Modern Slavery Act of 2018, the US Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act, and the Canadian Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act.

Our Business

Wing Assistant provides virtual assistant and staffing solutions to businesses globally, focusing on offshore talent across various verticals. As a technology company first, our operations are primarily based in the United States, with our Contracted Companies (as defined in our Terms of Service, located at https://wingassistant.com/terms) being based globally.

Our Commitment

We are committed to ensuring that our business operations and supply chains are free from modern slavery, forced labor, and human trafficking. We comply with all applicable labor and employment laws, rules, and regulations, and work diligently to mitigate the risk of human trafficking in our business and supply chains. Our commitment includes:

Policy Implementation and Enforcement:

  • Adoption of a comprehensive Modern Slavery Policy, which outlines our stance against all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking.
  • Performing due diligence on suppliers and contractors to ensure compliance with our Modern Slavery Policy.Integration of human rights principles in our operations and supply chain management.

    Risk Assessment and Due Diligence:
  • Conducting risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential modern slavery risks within our supply chains.

Training and Awareness:

  • Providing training to employees and contractors on modern slavery risks and our policies to combat them.
  • Ensuring that all staff understand their role in maintaining a supply chain free of modern slavery and human trafficking.

Supplier Engagement:

  • Requiring our suppliers to adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct, which includes strict prohibitions against modern slavery and human trafficking.

Conducting audits and assessments of suppliers to ensure compliance with our standards.

Reporting and Accountability:

  • Establishing mechanisms for reporting concerns related to modern slavery and human trafficking.
  • Ensuring that reports are investigated and appropriate actions are taken, including potential termination of relationships with non-compliant suppliers.

Supplier Code of Conduct

Our Supplier Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for suppliers, including the prohibition of modern slavery and human trafficking. Suppliers are required to:

  • Prohibit all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking in their operations.
  • Ensure that employees are free to leave their employment without penalty.
  • Compensate employees fairly and comply with local wage laws.
  • Provide safe and healthy working conditions.
  • Respect employees’ rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining.

Monitoring and Reporting

Wing Assistant conducted audits of its supply chains and engaged in due diligence processes to ensure compliance with modern slavery laws. We are committed to continuous improvement and will conduct annual supply chain risk assessments to evaluate and address any modern slavery risks.

Approval and Publication

The Board of Directors of Wing Assistant approved this statement on January 1, 2024, and delegated authority to electronically sign it on their behalf to the CEO.
