After typing out “virtual assistant philippines,” you’re really just hoping someone else can make the decision for you. Why? Because every VA service you’ve researched looks the same.

Same with “fully managed,” “dedicated,” “save 70%.” Identical home pages back to back to back. You don’t want the cheapest, because maybe that affects the quality of the work. But the inverse isn’t true; you can’t just go for the most expensive and hope it means top quality.

Reviews could help, but most of these companies are awash with one-stars or five-stars, nothing in between. Bear in mind you’re not just reading reviews from clients, but also from the assistants themselves.

No wonder you’re confused. How are you supposed to hire a Filipino virtual assistant with all this noise?

The Philippines VA Market in 2026

The Philippines has spent the past several years deliberately building a skilled, English-proficient workforce, a push tied to bayanihan, the spirit of collective unity, that’s enabled millions to participate in the global economy.

Snapshot:

  • The Philippines is second in Asia for English proficiency, behind only Malaysia. It scored 569 on the 2025 EF English Proficiency Index, which lands it in the “high proficiency” band and 28th out of 123 countries worldwide (EF EPI 2025).
  • The broader IT and business process industry that Filipino VAs sit inside pulled in around $40 billion in 2025 and employs roughly 1.9 million people (Manila Times).
  • The companies in this list mostly land between $7 and $15 an hour for general roles, more for specialized work like development or bookkeeping. That’s the range to expect. Anything wildly below it usually means you’re paying for a platform and doing the managing yourself, which we’ll get to.
  • The Philippines runs on UTC+8 with no daylight saving. Your afternoon is their middle of the night. Some providers staff US hours anyway; some don’t.

How to Judge a Philippine VA Company

If every provider claims to be selective and managed, then those words tell you nothing. So here’s what they actually mean, and how to use them.

Managed

Managed comes down to who sorts through the candidates and who directs the daily work. These fit broadly into three categories: marketplace/DIY, where you’re in charge of both; recruitment-led, where they hire someone and you manage their daily work; and provider-supervised, often called “fully managed,” where they hire the assistant and guide their day-to-day work. The question to ask yourself is what’s actually going to save you time and energy, not just hand you another person to manage.

Coverage

The Philippines runs on UTC+8. But this is not about the elementary notion of time zones and when you can book a meeting. You need to know who staffs US hours, who covers strictly after-hours, and what happens when your assistant is sick, on leave, or needs replacing. In short: who is building a service that provides stable coverage..

English

EF EPI for the Philippines is “high,” but of the four skills EF measures, speaking scores lowest. Writing is the strongest. So if your work involves client-facing phone calls all day, does the company allow for you to hear/speak to them first?

Transparency

Whether it is the hiring process, data security, or pricing, there is an obvious difference between stating and proving. Watch which companies actually put a price on their website, because some will make you call for a quote. Some companies provide NDAs and pretend it is the same thing as protecting your data (it’s not). A confident company wants to show you how it works.

Scope

Some providers go deep on a niche like real estate, e-commerce, or medical billing. If that’s your exact gap, great. But needs change, and when they do, do you add a new virtual assistant to the same account, or start the whole hunt over with a new provider? Specialists solve today’s problem. A wide bench solves the next one too.

7 Best Philippine VA Companies

Time to put those five criteria to work. Despite the title, there’s no single winner here, only the one that fits how you want to work. Seven companies, what each is actually good at, and where the drawbacks really are.

1. OnlineJobs.ph

Best for: Hiring remote workers

OnlineJobs.ph is less of a virtual assistant company and more of a marketplace. They list nearly 2 million assistants in their roster, but unlike most VA services, they expect you to go through all of them by yourself to find the assistant that matches your industry and tech stack. The actual wage for each assistant is decided by negotiating with them directly, but there is a cost to using the platform. It is free to browse, but if you want to contact the workers, you must pay the platform $69 or $99 a month.

The pro package offers a time management and payment app. The premium adds what other VA companies would consider basics like background checks and Smart Shortlist matching. Premium does add some genuinely helpful features like worker mentoring, though that’s mentoring support, not day-to-day management of the worker. Their website is upfront that you can cancel your subscription after you hire.

This is on the extreme end of managing. This works for anyone who is just looking for an entry point and a reputable place to hire a VA in the Philippines, but it’s a far cry from what most services would consider “Virtual Assistant” and more like hiring in-house, just remotely.

2. VA Masters

Best for: Hiring transparency

VA Masters is recruitment-led, or to put it more simply, it is a hiring agency for VAs. Since hiring is their main focus, they’re one of the few on this list that actually show you the process behind the hiring claims. They write the job posting and run several rounds of interviews, which include English proficiency screening and role-specific practicals. Once you have been handed 2–3 candidates to interview and hire, day-to-day task direction is largely yours, though VA Masters includes ongoing HR support and performance monitoring as part of the service.

The prices vary between $6.50–$25/hr depending on role. Included in the wage is continued help from VA Masters with HR and payroll. HR help is strictly about employment management and admin; it is not to be confused with a People Team for worker management and company policy. They offer a replacement guarantee if the match doesn’t work out, starting a new search at no additional recruitment fee.

VA Masters is more of a VA service than OnlineJobs, but you’re still the one directing daily work here, just with the sourcing and payroll handled. It is not for someone who is currently too overwhelmed with their own work to create an onboarding and training process.

3. Virtual Coworker

Best for: Monitoring work

Virtual Coworker has the same business model as VA Masters; they are recruitment-led and are more hands-off once the assistant has been placed. Unlike VA Masters, their hiring process is not as publicly detailed. Instead, they emphasize two areas: coverage and monitoring. They explicitly state that their Filipino virtual assistants work US hours. Keep in mind they are not the only ones with this feature on the list, but they are the first ones so far.

Their whole “managing your contractor” setup is built around you being able to see the work happen. Their assistants require time-logging monitoring software on their laptop. This keeps track of their time and screenshots their laptop every 10 minutes, with a daily report sent to you. If you have been burned by a VA service before, this level of monitoring can be very reassuring, although it does underline the fact that you are still the one who needs to go through the daily reports to check on them.

Virtual Coworker’s entry-point pricing is only marginally more expensive than VA Masters at $7–$12/hr. Here, the higher tiers are based on specialization or role; for example, their most expensive role (the one outlier at $18/hr) is for a mobile app developer.

4. Remote CoWorker

Best for: Multilingual teams

With Remote CoWorker, we have our first example of a fully managed model; they run the onboarding and the performance tracking. Unlike recruitment-led services, they actually stick around and supervise the work. They are not as focused on the Philippines as other service providers here; they recruit talent beyond the Philippines as well, which allows them to keep costs low for their clients while also providing multiple language options.

Their pricing can be a bit opaque; although it’s clearly stated that the starting price is $8/hr, their higher tiers can run considerably more depending on role and experience. Their website’s ROI calculator sorts by category, then by role, then by level of experience. Even with that sorted out, what you are left with is a range. It looks small, three or four dollars an hour, but at full-time hours even that gap stacks up to $480 to $640 a month. So you are not finding out the real number until you have a call with their sales team.

5. MyOutDesk

Best for: Real estate

MyOutDesk started out in real estate, and while they’ve branched out since, it’s still where they have the most roles. If you’re an agent, that depth matters; they understand transaction timelines and the roles a real estate business runs on, which a generalist won’t. They’re another genuinely fully managed service, and the most committed version of it, since they don’t offer part-time at all. That shows up in the price, the highest floor on this list, starting at $1,988/mo (roughly $12.43/hr).

MyOutDesk leans hard on what it calls “dual candidate vetting.” In practice, that means applicants interview on two cameras at once, hand over government ID, and clear a full background check, all meant to stop deepfakes and identity fraud. It’s worth asking whether that’s a problem you actually have.

Not for you if you want to start small, or if you care more about what the assistant can actually do than about how thoroughly they were vetted.

6. Virtual Done Well

Best for: Socially minded

Virtual Done Well takes a very different approach to virtual assistants. They’re a social enterprise that cares deeply about their workers’ welfare. They back that up with a physical office for their assistants to work from, which means someone is there supervising and looking out for them day to day. It’s also a genuinely different take on the managed model; oversight comes from an in-person supervisor rather than a remote project manager.

They’re a boutique operation, curating small teams and even handing clients quarterly “charity certificates.” Most clients have just one or two staff. That’s lovely in itself, but it also limits them if you need to scale up fast during a busy stretch, or want more hands on deck long term.

They have a thin public track record. There’s little detail on their hiring process, few client reviews, and no public pricing at all, hourly or monthly. Everything they do say points the right way. But you’ll be trusting the pitch more than you can check it.

7. Wing Assistant

Best for: Hands-off operations

With Wing, like with most true VA companies, your Philippines virtual assistant is fully managed. Unlike most who claim that on this list, for Wing, management is the product. You get a dedicated assistant, with a Customer Success Manager, supervisors, and QA behind them. Rather than screenshotting someone’s personal laptop, they use their management app called Wing Workspace, which acts as a virtual working environment. The management layer is in service of two things: consistency and “ownership”.

If it is not a good fit, or someone is sick or on vacation, Wing replaces them within 24 hours. Consistency comes in because all the work your previous VA has been doing lives in Wing Workspace. Wing’s CSM works with you to set the goals and priorities for your VA in the Philippines. Wing’s assistants are AI-trained and proficient in the AI tools most businesses already use. Their rigorous operation system helps deliver on their promise “work that gets done without coming back to you.”

Prices are transparent and structured as a subscription-based model, starting at $699/mo part-time for 80 hours, $999/mo full-time for 160 hours (roughly $8.70/hr and $6.20/hr respectively). The price does vary depending on specialized role, and because Wing has over 150 separate roles you will need to do some digging on their website to find what you need. Still, all the prices are there in full view, no sales call required.

How to Pick a Philippine VA Company

Which one you pick comes down to how you want to work:

  • If you want total control and the lowest entry cost, and you have the time to source and manage yourself, OnlineJobs.ph fits.
  • If you want to pick the person but skip the sourcing grind, VA Masters or Virtual Coworker fit: VA Masters if you want the hiring process laid bare, Virtual Coworker if you want to watch the work closely.
  • If you’re in real estate and ready to commit to a full-time hire, MyOutDesk fits.
  • If how your assistant is treated matters as much as what they deliver, Virtual Done Well fits.
  • If you need round-the-clock or multilingual coverage, Remote CoWorker fits.
